PDEF’s documentation

The PDEF project specifies a data interchange format.

It covers the domain of oil and gas subsea pipelines facilities.

PDEF stands for Pipeline Data Exchange Format and was developped to set a standard enabling automated exchange of structured technical data between industry stakeholders.

PDEF is developped by a group of offshore oil and gas industry Partners and Participants who defines the content, structure and conventions to be followed.

These requirements are translated in a Javascript Object Notation schema (JSON schema).
